🚨 SUCCESSFUL APPREHENSION & RECOVERY 🚨

“WRONG TOWN, WRONG DAY!”

Date: 03/09/2026
Time: 13:30
Location: Malangeni

It seems some suspects from out of town decided to pay another visit to the Umzinto C*D today — apparently forgetting that this is not exactly the ideal place to come and test your luck.

The suspects’ vehicle entered the Umzinto C*D after being involved in the robbery of a lady on 25 August 2026. The victim opened a case, and our teams immediately began working on the information received.

Today, our Duke ground team, together with members of the Umzinto SAPS Task Team, spotted the suspect vehicle and kept a close eye on its occupants for approximately an hour, whilst everything seemed to be going according to their plan.

Then they realised something very important, they had chosen the wrong town to hustle in.

A vehicle pursuit ensued, with the suspect vehicle eventually being intercepted in Malangeni.

Unfortunately they had already managed to find another target while in the C*D. The victim’s belongings were subsequently recovered from the suspect vehicle.

The suspects were apprehended and transported to Umzinto SAPS, where they were processed accordingly.

Important point to note: our members together with Umzinto SAPS are not very welcoming to that particular line of business.

We once again urge those from out of town to think twice before choosing our town as their playground. We strongly recommend choosing one where you don’t end up receiving an unexpected es**rt to the police station.

A total of four vehicles were recovered, including the two vehicles allegedly used in a business robbery committed earlier that same day.

A second security partner also responded to the operation, where an additional suspect was successfully apprehended.

The suspects remain in custody while investigations continue.

This operation once again demonstrates the importance of effective cooperation between private security and law enforcement. A well coordinated response can make all the difference when dealing with serious criminal activity.

🚨Below is an appreciation post from one of our valued clients🚨:

"A very big thank you to the Duke team. Well done guys. For over a month I was trying to track this guy. Today His Karma caught up with him. Don't steal. We work hard , the seeds and seedlings, fertilizer and staff wages. These things are not cheap. He was raiding everyday and selling to our local community.

Today I can rest. It's thanks to this team. They were excellent. Now I have peace of mind and an end to the terror that this criminal has caused... As a woman I stand tall knowing that Duke has my back.

To the team. Well done guys. You are simply the best. Keep up the good work.

Sign up with Duke if you haven't yet, they get results 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽"

🚨SUCCESSFUL ARREST – REPEAT OFFENDER APPREHENDED🚨

Date: 15/08/2026
Time: 10:30
Location: Umzinto
CAS: UMZINTO 110/08/2026

At approximately 09:00, our team received a call from our client reporting that items had been stolen from his premises.

Our members responded immediately and began gathering information and following up on the available leads. Through swift action and determination, our team was able to identify and apprehend the suspect shortly thereafter.

The suspect was handed over to Umzinto SAPS, where a case was formally opened under UMZINTO CAS 110/08/2026.

Interestingly, this is not the suspect’s first encounter with our team. He was previously apprehended our task team in May 2026. After being released approximately two weeks ago, it appears he wasted very little time getting back to his usual business.

Unfortunately for him, the business model clearly hasn’t changed — and neither has our response.

The fight against repeat offenders continues. We will continue working alongside SAPS and our community to identify, apprehend and remove repeat offenders from our streets.

We will not stop.
We will not give up.
We will keep fighting for a safer community.

🚨SUCCESSFUL ARREST & RECOVERY OF STOLEN CELLPHONE🚨

Date: 04/08/2026
Time: 17:30
Location: Umzinto

UMZINTO CAS 13/08/2026

Following yesterday’s successful arrest and recovery of a stolen cellphone, the complainant informed our team that a second cellphone had also been stolen during the same robbery on Sunday.

With this new information in hand, our team wasted no time. An investigation was immediately launched, leading to the identification of the second suspect. The suspect cooperated with our members and, together with Umzinto SAPS Crime Prevention, the stolen cellphone was successfully recovered.

The suspect has been formally arrested and will now have the opportunity to explain why collecting other people’s cellphones seemed like a sensible career choice.

The final score:

* ✅ One complainant
* ✅ Two suspects arrested
* ✅ Two stolen cellphones recovered
* ✅ Two successful recoveries on two separate days

This serves as yet another reminder that persistence, teamwork, and swift action continue to deliver results for our community.
