Today's topic is for contractors.

Let's talk about something that many skilled fundis experience.

Please don't use a professional's knowledge just to get quotations and technical guidance, then hand the job over to someone else who isn't qualified for the work.

Imagine taking me to the site to inspect the project, prepare a professional quotation, and advise on the installation. The client sends money for materials and even 50% of my labour, but suddenly the story changes: "I'll call you later." Then I find out the piping work is being done by a plaster fundi instead of a qualified electrician.

Let's respect each other's time, skills, and profession. Electrical work is not a trial-and-error job. It requires experience, proper planning, and accountability to ensure the installation is safe and meets the required standards.

When we value professionalism, everyone wins—the contractor, the electrician, and most importantly, the client.

Respect people's knowledge. Respect skilled labour.
