The kitchen is one of the hardest-working spaces in a home, so we believe good design should make everyday life feel a little easier.

For this kitchen, we focused on clean lines, clever organisation and a timeless combination of white cabinetry and dark stone-look countertops. Warm under-cabinet lighting adds a softer touch, making the space feel welcoming as well as practical.

Because when the heart of the home is well designed, everything just feels a little better.

Behind every AURA project is a team I’m incredibly grateful for.

Over the years, I’ve learned that great work is never about one person. It’s about the people who show up, put in the effort, care about the details and take pride in what they create.

From the workshop to the final installation, our team brings their own skills and experience to every project. It’s that commitment that helps us turn an idea on paper into a space our clients can truly enjoy.

I’m proud of the team we’ve built and grateful for the people who make AURA what it is.

Thank you for the hard work, the care and the pride you bring to every project. We couldn’t do it without you.

Timeless details for everyday moments.

We believe a bathroom should feel just as beautiful as it is practical. For this space, we loved creating a vanity with a more classic, furniture-inspired feel.

From the shaker-style cabinetry and elegant brass hardware to the marble-look surface and decorative feet, every detail was carefully considered to create something personal and timeless.

It’s often the smallest details that make a space feel like home, and that’s what we love most about creating spaces for our clients.

That awkward space between the stairs and the corridor… what do you do with it?

Too small to become a living area, but too valuable to leave unused.
We recently helped our clients turn one of those overlooked spaces into something practical and beautiful.

Clean white cabinetry, light timber framing and slim black pulls created a space that now feels like it was always meant to be there.

A place for favourite books and family photos, with hidden drawer storage below.

Built with care. Shaped by experience.

With over 20 years in carpentry, joinery, production and shop-fitting, I’ve been fortunate to learn from every project, every challenge and every person I’ve worked alongside.

What started as a passion for working with my hands has grown into AURA Building & Design Concepts. I’m incredibly grateful for the journey that has brought me here.

This Heritage Month, I’m reminded of the value of craftsmanship, hard work and the skills we pass on to one another. South Africa is a country filled with creativity, diversity and talent, and I’m proud to play a small part in building spaces that become part of people’s homes and lives.

Today, together with the AURA team, I continue to do what I love: creating bespoke interiors where thoughtful design, precision craftsmanship and functionality come together.

Simple. Timeless. Beautiful.

We wanted to create something that felt timeless, while still working beautifully for modern living.

The deep blue-grey shaker-style cabinetry, natural timber countertop and warm LED lighting bring a lovely warmth to the space. The open shelving gives our clients a place to display the things that make their home feel like theirs.

The brass handles and panel detailing add those final touches that bring everything together.

It’s always about finding that balance between beautiful design and practical living.

A South African home just isn’t complete without a braai. 🔥🇿🇦

We loved adding the finishing touches to this custom indoor braai area, creating a seamless connection between the braai and the rest of the home’s design.

Everything has its place, and of course, there’s a custom w**e rack right next to the action. Because what goes better with a braai than a glass of local w**e?

These homeowners are ready to celebrate Heritage Month in style, and Braai Day is going to look sleek.

A place for everything, and everything in its place.

We loved bringing this kitchen in Hermanus to life. Designed around the way our clients live, with practical storage, modern finishes and plenty of style.

Because a beautiful kitchen should work beautifully too.

This outdoor space was thoughtfully designed around the way it would be lived in.

Timber decking defines distinct zones for relaxing, entertaining, and gathering around the fire, creating a seamless flow between each area.

Built-in seating, layered levels, and carefully considered landscaping add depth, structure, and character while maintaining a natural connection to the home.

Good design gives every space a purpose.
