MGN SECURITY | ROAD SAFETY TIPS
1. Stay Alert
Avoid distractions while driving. Keep your eyes on the road and be aware of vehicles, pedestrians and your surroundings.
2. Lock Your Doors
Always keep your vehicle doors locked and windows closed, especially when stopped at intersections.
3. Keep Valuables Out of Sight
Do not leave handbags, laptops, phones or other valuables visible inside your vehicle.
4. Be Cautious at Intersections
Stay alert when approaching traffic lights and stop signs. Leave enough space between your vehicle and the one in front of you.
5. Avoid Isolated Routes at Night
Where possible, use well-lit and busy roads when travelling after dark.
6. Don’t Follow Your GPS Blindly
Plan your route before travelling and avoid unfamiliar or suspicious areas when possible.
7. Check Your Vehicle Before Leaving
Make sure your tyres, lights, brakes, fuel and other essential vehicle components are in good condition.
8. Don’t Give Strangers a Lift
Be cautious about picking up unknown passengers, particularly in isolated areas.
9. If You Suspect You’re Being Followed
Don’t drive home. Head to a busy, well-lit location or the nearest police station and contact your security provider for assistance.
10. Save Emergency Contacts
Keep important emergency and security numbers saved on your phone and make sure your family or colleagues know your route when travelling long distances.
