🗣️ Top mowing tip for the week: Wait for the weather to warm up and the grass to start showing signs of new growth. A mild winter may mean an earlier start, but generally, late August to early September is the ideal time for the first spring mow.

✅ Make sure your mower blades are sharp and never cut more than one-third of the grass blade's height at a time.
✅ Set your mower to a high setting for the first cut of the season.
✅ As the weather warms and the grass enters its growth phase, increase your mowing frequency.
✅ Avoid mowing in the same direction every time.
✅ Always wait until the grass is dry before you mow.
✅Always brush the cutting bay clean especially if w**ds are present. This will reduce cross contamination of different areas.

Top tips for the week: When grass isn't actively growing during winter, it's less resilient. Repeated foot traffic, especially on areas that are frosty, frozen, or wet, can cause significant issues. This continuous pressure compacts the soil, squeezing out vital air and water that roots need to survive.

✅ For high-traffic areas, consider using stepping stones or even temporary paths. This redirects foot traffic and protects the sensitive grass underneath.
✅ If you have multiple routes across your lawn, try to vary them so you're not always treading on the same spot.
✅ Be extra cautious on frosty mornings! Walking on frozen grass can shatter the brittle grass blades.
