Some dinners deserve the whole evening.

The food is shared, someone pours another glass, and nobody is quite ready to leave. This is the kind of living we imagined for the double-volume dining room in our Solis Type B homes.

Morning light streams through tall windows, creating a welcoming spot for coffee before the day begins. By evening, soft lighting and a sculptural pendant set the mood for hosting friends. Above, the generous volume opens up the room, while timber stairs and glass balustrades keep the space warm and visually connected.

Designed by Kunz Raubenheimer FOR Rexco Developments, these Bryanston homes make everyday rituals feel just as considered as special occasions.

Connected living spaces, sheltered courtyards and a sculpted pool. The initial coordination drawings for House Beneke reveal a home shaped around the relationship between architecture and landscape.

Behind these spaces is the careful resolution of dimensions, levels and junctions. We are developing the details and coordinating the consultant inputs as this Pretoria residence moves closer to breaking ground.

Oakhills is taking shape in Stellenbosch, Western Cape.

Alongside the progress on site, we’re sharing a closer look at the construction details that guide how the building comes together. Window sills, damp-proofing, glazing junctions and steel connections all contribute to the quality and performance of the finished architecture.

Some of these elements will remain visible; others will be concealed within the completed building. Each deserves careful attention during design and construction.

These drawings and photographs show that relationship unfolding, from the smallest junction to the emerging building.

Take a closer look at the four-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom homes we designed for Rexco Developments across five erven in Helderfontein Estate.

Gabled roofs give the homes a distinctive silhouette, while warm brickwork, textured screens and generous glazing bring depth and character to the façades. Sheltered terraces connect with the gardens, and upper-level balconies create outdoor spaces with an elevated outlook.

This animation offers a glimpse of the life imagined within these homes—from quiet moments outside to afternoons spent together with family and friends.

SUNDAY IN WATERCOLOUR | THE RIDGE, PRETORIA

A softer interpretation of a luxury residence we designed in The Ridge Estate, Pretoria.

These artworks capture the architecture through atmosphere — filtered light beneath established trees, warm timber screens, natural stone, landscaped courtyards and the transition between arrival, garden and home.

The residence was designed around a balance of strong contemporary forms and natural materials, creating a home that feels private, calm and closely connected to its landscape.

A fitting Sunday perspective on architecture — less about the building as an object, and more about the feeling of living within it.

A look back at our first conceptual design for the luxury apartments at Stellenbosch Village Senior Living Estate.

A home should make room for the life you want to lead—from a quiet morning on your own to an afternoon spent catching up with family and friends.

This animation captures the beginnings of our architectural vision: an approach to apartment living shaped around comfort, personal identity, and a sense of belonging. Luxury expressed through the experience of being at home.

What goes into translating a residential design into a home?

For our Type C residence at Solis, the answer unfolds across floor plans, sections, elevations, electrical and ceiling layouts, and detailed door, window and finishes schedules.

Presented alongside the renderings, these drawings show how soft curves, strong horizontal lines and generous glazing are developed into precise construction information. They define how spaces connect, where materials meet and how lighting integrates with the architecture.

Designed by Kunz Raubenheimer Architects for Rexco Developments, Type C forms part of a collection of eight exclusive luxury homes planned within the Devonshire Park security enclosure in Bryanston.

𝗔 𝗛𝗢𝗠𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗙𝗜𝗧𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗪𝗔𝗬 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗟𝗜𝗩𝗘

Four bedrooms in both. A different sense of space in each.

Our two residential designs for Rexco Developments in the Helderfontein estate offers different floor areas while sharing the same attention to how a family moves, gathers and lives at home.

Open-plan kitchens connect with dining and living areas, while covered patios with built-in braais make outdoor entertaining part of everyday life. Separate sculleries take care of the practical details behind the scenes.

Outside, dark pitched roofs and white projecting frames are balanced by timber screens and warm facebrick, with curved corners bringing a softer edge to the architecture.
