🌍Celebrating collaboration, connection and 30 years of excellence!

Agrement South Africa was honoured to host the 2026 WFTAO AGM, held from 29 September to 1 October 2026, bringing together members from across the globe to share knowledge, strengthen partnerships and advance our shared goals.

A special highlight was the WFTAO 30th Anniversary celebration, also hosted by Agrement South Africa, marking three decades of collaboration, innovation and impact.

Another significant milestone was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Agrement South Africa and DiBT, strengthening our commitment to cooperation, knowledge exchange and building a more connected future.

Our team came together for our Staff Wellness Programme, a day dedicated to caring for the whole person: body, mind and finances.

Advancing Innovation for a Sustainable Built Environment

Today, Agrement South Africa hosted its Industry and Stakeholder Technical Forum at the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) Main Campus, under the theme:

“Diffusing Certified Innovative Building Technologies for a Sustainable Built Environment.”

Agrément South Africa is conducting its strategic planning session in preparation for the 2027/28 financial year.
Day 1 of the session aim to provide an opportunity to reflect on our journey, assess performance, organisation environment and collectively shape the way forward. The conversation today is to layout the foundation for a future focused organisation ready to meet sector needs and drive a meaningful change.

Additionally, the purpose is identify challenges and potential solutions, set targets and output indicators to strengthen service delivery.

The key pillars of the planning session include Optimise the organisation, regulatory capacity and enforcement, customer focus, financial sustainability, stakeholder management and collaboration, and transformation.

SIDSSA26 | Wrapping Up: Infrastructure for Growth and Competitiveness

As the Sustainable Infrastructure Development Symposium South Africa (SIDSSA26) wraps up in Cape Town, the focus remains on “Shaping the Future of Municipal Infrastructure.”

In his keynote address, President Cyril Ramaphosa emphasised the central role of infrastructure in driving inclusive economic growth and regional integration. He noted that South Africa has fixed a fragmented infrastructure development system through the Infrastructure Development Act and the establishment of Infrastructure South Africa, with significant growth in the Strategic Integrated Projects pipeline.

The Symposium concluded with a high-level Mayoral Leadership Exchange on “Building Africa’s Competitive Port Cities: Infrastructure as a Catalyst for Trade, Logistics and Investment,” where mayors and municipal leaders deliberated on how infrastructure can strengthen Africa’s port cities as hubs for trade and investment.

SIDSSA26 | Leaders Forum Sets the Tone for Day 1

Day 1 of the Sustainable Infrastructure Development Symposium South Africa 2026 opened with a high-impact Leaders Forum chaired by the Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure, Hon. Dean Macpherson.

The forum convened political principals, Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Mayors and senior executives to unpack critical priorities: fast-tracking infrastructure delivery, strengthening municipal capacity, and aligning infrastructure with South Africa’s development goals.

Setting the tone for the day, Former President H.E Thabo Mbeki delivered a powerful keynote address on infrastructure as a catalyst for sustainable growth.
