Clifton — where the site itself becomes the picture frame. 🌊

Still very much a raw construction site, but it’s already easy to see what makes this project special. That uninterrupted Atlantic Ocean view is going to be something else once the glazing is in.

Phicor will be installing the premium Reynaers HiFinity sliding system, together with Reynaers CS77 motorised windows — combining minimal aluminium sightlines, automation and maximum glass to make sure nothing competes with that view.

Another purpose-built aluminium window fabricated and installed by Phicor Architectural Products, designed specifically for a gentle psychiatric environment, where safety, controlled operation and durability are critical.

This Tilt & Turn window incorporates specialised hardware and operating restrictions:

🔹 Tilt function retained to provide controlled natural ventilation
🔹 Turn function locked out to prevent the sash from being fully opened
🔹 Removable operating handle allowing access to be controlled by authorised personnel
🔹 Robust aluminium construction and specialised hardware suited to the demanding healthcare environment

WE’RE HIRING

ARCHITECTURAL TECHNOLOGIST / ALUMINIUM & FAÇADE DETAILER

Phicor Architectural Products is looking for an experienced and technically strong Architectural Technologist / Façade Detailer to join our team.

This is not simply a drawing position.

We are looking for someone who understands how architectural aluminium and glazing systems are designed, detailed, manufactured and installed.

THE ROLE

You will be responsible for translating architectural and structural information into accurate, practical and manufacture-ready shop drawings for:

* Aluminium windows and doors
* Shopfronts
* Curtain walling and glazed façades
* Sliding and folding door systems
* Balustrades and specialised glazing
* Aluminium cladding and associated architectural products
* Bespoke aluminium and façade solutions

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Preparation of detailed shop drawings
* Developing sections, details and interfaces
* Interpreting architectural and structural drawings
* Incorporating aluminium system requirements into project drawings
* Glass and hardware coordination
* Preparing manufacturing and fabrication information
* Liaising with architects, engineers, contractors and our production team
* Resolving technical issues before they reach the factory or site
* Ensuring drawings accurately reflect approved systems and specifications
* Assisting with material optimisation and production information

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate will have:

* Architectural Technology qualification or equivalent technical experience
* Strong AutoCAD capability
* Excellent technical detailing ability
* Good understanding of construction and building interfaces
* Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
* Strong problem-solving ability
* High attention to detail
* Ability to work under project deadlines

Previous experience in the aluminium, glazing, façade or curtain-wall industry will be a major advantage.

Knowledge of systems from Reynaers, Crealco, Wispeco or similar architectural aluminium systems would be particularly valuable.
