As Architects We are passionate abought what we do!!! We love what we do, and it shows. We embrace the future, because we will be a part of it.

As-Architects is a young and dynamic innovative architectural design business, based in Johannesburg / South Africa, and active since 2007. Our work is driven by true passion for the process of architecture, and by a hands-on engagement with all opportunities presented in the modern building industry. We believe that the true measure of our skill is our ability to engage at all levels and with all players that make up the colourful world of construction. With its problems and responsibilities, and with its great freedoms and achievements. Most of all, we have not lost our sense of humour, and we are genuinely optimistic. Our work and our business conduct have a solid and consistent ethical basis, and we consider ourselves as generalists. Our business has been built on our willingness to apply our knowledge to almost any design task, and we have completed buildings and projects of many different types in almost all property industry sectors. Our current core competencies lie in the design of workplace environments, specifically head offices, along with retail, sports and leisure architecture. As-Architects is known for being flexible and diverse in its approach to design. Our work is not style-driven, but lifestyle-driven. Elegant and efficient planning are at the core of our designs. We understand the needs of our commercial developer clients, and know how to find ever new architectural forms in a competitive property market. To this extent, our work is fashion-driven, and we move forward from project to project, as our skills grow and our clients’ trust in our ability grows. Since arrival of this “new kid” in the year 2007, we have worked with well established architectural firms and other private companies in South Africa gaining valuable experience and shaping the working environments in South Africa:

Just received a message from our client in the deep rural area of KZN.. She couldn't hold back her tears of joy since her dream house is now taking shape within Four Months of dedication and great workmenship, she said she will celebrate this Christmas with her family under this roof for the first time since 2021.. Rural development is the way to go, and I am pleading with small, medium companies to render their services with highest quality and professionalism...

And when you pray tonight...pray for wisdom. It is the foundation of prosperity. The moment you have wisdom, you will know the difference between the things you can and cannot change. Most people focus on things they cannot change instead of those they can change.

Trust me I can abandon and walk away from any project big or small that have disrespectful people, ask any professional what works with us, they will tell you that, No amount of money that can make me to stay on unhealthy project, worse if it's a stupid contractor!!. I just did that 🤣😂 !!

One thing that fascinates me about builders, carpenters, electricians all of them; be careful with their wastefulness. They will make you buy 12 fisher boards when they only need 8. Meanwhile they still have 4 left from the previous job. So they actually only need 4.

This is one of the “transactions” of construction. Sometimes they are just lazy to put together pieces of fisher boards so they want new ones.

They will waste udaka (cement mixture) without remembering that there is a septic tank that needs sealing. They will abandon half a tonne of building sand and start collecting from a new load.

Brick force wire is like toilet paper to them. They just litter it everywhere. 1inch steal nails are everywhere. You can literally pick a kilogram of wire and steal nails from your site.

I am not being pretentious or prejudiced. But if you do not watch your money then you will watch it finish.

Building is already stressful enough and very expensive. The last thing you need is some poor minded people acting rich minded.

Happy Tuesday Kings and Queens...

And when you pray tonight... Pray to rebuke the spirit of inconsistency. Once you start something, be it a relationship or task, work on it all the time. There are things that can be done once-off. However somethings require efforts. Inconsistency is a lack of descipline.
