A first look at a current residential project at the foot of Paarl Mountain.

Set against the surrounding slopes, the house draws on familiar Cape architecture, with simple gables, pale plaster walls and sheltered outdoor spaces. Arched openings and generous glazing connect the living areas to the garden, while terraces create space to sit and enjoy the setting.

This architectural render offers a glimpse of what’s taking shape. We look forward to sharing photographs as the project moves towards completion.

A warm welcome at Ou Meul Bakery in Robertson.

An arched opening frames the counter, with soft stripes, glossy tiles and pale timber bringing texture to a simple, warm palette. Baked treats beneath glass domes and shelves of pantry favourites make browsing part of the arrival.

It’s these everyday moments we enjoy designing for: stepping inside, choosing something for the road or settling in for a coffee.

A corner of the new E & Co Collection showroom in Simondium, where our architecture, interiors and furniture come together.

Reed ceilings and exposed timber beams give the rooms a familiar Cape character, with deep green doors adding colour against textured plaster walls. Timber cabinets, ceramics and woven textures sit comfortably alongside a simple four-poster bed.

Having designed both the building and its interiors, we’ve enjoyed seeing the collection settle into these spaces. Come and explore the rooms and see the pieces in person.

There’s something familiar about a farmhouse with simple gables, a generous stoep and rooms full of natural texture.

Here, that character carries through from the architecture to the interiors. Reed ceilings, textured plaster and warm timber sit alongside stone surfaces and softly curved details.

For us, designing a country home means considering all these elements together, creating spaces that feel connected to their setting and comfortable to live in.
