From standing palm to manageable pieces. 🌴

Taking the tree down is only half the job.

Once it’s on the ground, we cut it into smaller, workable sections so it can be moved, loaded and cleared safely and efficiently.

Tree work is rarely just one big cut. It’s a process from start to finish.

Some trees are just in the wrong place, and these two were definitely a problem. 🌳

On 13 October, the crew was on site at Overberg Agri, removing two large Sugar Gum trees that had become a safety concern because of where they were growing.

Big trees in awkward positions aren't something you want to take chances with. It takes proper planning, the right equipment and a crew that knows what they're doing.

A good day's work from the team, and two potential hazards taken care of.

I’m André, ISA Certified Arborist. Together with our experienced crew, we provide professional tree pruning, controlled removals, tree assessments, planting, stump grinding, chipping, and site clearing across the Western Cape.

I’m André. If you’ve been following Overberg Arborists for a while, you’ve probably seen me up a tree or heard me explaining why someone shouldn’t have cut that branch there.

Thought it was time to say hello properly.

I’m an ISA Certified Arborist, and I really enjoy what I do. Especially when we can keep a good tree healthy, sort out something that’s been worrying a client, and leave a property looking better than we found it.

The crew will tell you I can talk about trees for a bit too long. I’d say the appropriate amount.
Anyway, thanks for being here, watching our videos and trusting us with your trees. It means a lot to me and the team.

If you need a hand with yours, send us your location and a few photos on WhatsApp: 072 455 8345

🌳 Right, here's your weekly reminder from me — if you want your trees sorted before Christmas, NOW is the time to book!

I know December still feels a while away, but believe me, it's going to be here before we know it. And then suddenly everyone wants their trees trimmed, gardens looking neat and properties ready before the family arrives! 😅

Here's the thing... we only have so many hours in a day, and there are only so many jobs we can fit into a week. Once the diary is full, it's full. As much as we'd love to help everyone, we can't be everywhere at once.

And trust me, you're not the only one wanting everything looking lekker before Christmas!

Whether it's tree trimming, removing a troublesome tree or just getting everything looking its best, please don't leave it until the last minute.

I'd much rather get you booked in now than have to tell you in December that we can't squeeze you in.

📲 WhatsApp us on 072 455 8345 with a few photos, your location and what you need done. We'll take it from there.

Let's get those trees sorted before the madness starts! 💪🌳

Measure twice. Cut once. Then keep your eyes on the tree. 👀

A proper felling cut is all about control. Reading the tree, planning the direction and making each cut count.

🌴 Sometimes a tree just gets too big for its space.

This massive palm was growing far too close to the house, and leaving it there was becoming a safety concern.

With a tree this size, you have to think about the weight, the falling fronds, the surrounding structures and what could happen if something goes wrong.

We don't believe in removing trees unnecessarily, but when a tree starts posing a risk to people or property, safety has to come first.

This one had to go, and our team made sure it was done safely and with care.

🌳 At Overberg Arborists, it's about doing what's right for the tree, the property and the people around it.
