🍻 Drink or Drive. You Can’t Do Both. 🚗
Alcohol slows your reaction time, impairs judgement, and puts everyone on the road at risk — drivers, passengers, pedestrians, and other road users.

If you plan to drink, plan your transport before you drink. Choose a designated driver, arrange a lift, or use alternative transport.
One responsible decision can save a life. Let’s make it home safely. 🛣️❤️

The road to educating the public on road safety never ends! 🚗🛣️

As we head into the weekend, we’re reminding everyone to make responsible choices on the road. Whether you’re travelling, heading out with friends or coming home after a night out — your life is more precious than a drink.

🚫🍺 Don’t drink and drive.
đźš— If you drink, find a sober driver or use alternative transport.
📵 Avoid distractions while driving.
đź’ş Buckle up every time.
❤️ Get home safely — your loved ones are waiting for you.

Let’s work together to make our roads safer and ensure that everyone gets home alive.

Stay Sober. Stay Alert. Stay Alive.

Today, Memeza Community Safety is proud to be part of the Ministerial Gender-Based Violence and Femicide (GBVF) Crime Prevention Community Engagement taking place in Lord Khanyile, Ivory Park, Tembisa.

This engagement provides an important platform for community members to speak openly about the challenges they face, raise concerns, and bring attention to underlying issues affecting safety and well-being within their communities.

Together with South African Police Service , NCVT, IEC, the Civilian Secretariat for Police Service and other partners, are here to share information, provide support and work towards practical solutions.

As Memeza, we believe that safer communities are built through partnerships, active listening and giving communities a voice. We are here to raise awareness about the role of Memeza in strengthening community safety and ensuring that residents know that they are not alone in the fight for safer communities.

As we close off the month of July, we look back to an impactful and meaningful Mandela Day. 67 minutes can change a day. Compassion can change a lifetime. đź’™

This year's Mandela Day, Memeza Community Safety, together with our valued partners and CPF H5 & H6, came together to bring hope to the children of Moepathutse Children's Centre in Stinkwater, Hammanskraal.

What began as a community safety initiative became a heartfelt act of service. Through the generosity of our teams and partners, the children received groceries, bread, snacks, essential supplies, and personal safety alarms—small gestures that remind them they are seen, valued, and supported.

At Memeza, we know that safer communities are built not only by preventing crime, but by investing in people, strengthening community partnerships, and uplifting the most vulnerable among us.

Through the support of , our Community Safety Ambassadors continue to serve beyond the call of duty—demonstrating that meaningful employment can create meaningful change in the communities they proudly serve.

To every volunteer, partner, and community member who contributed, thank you. Your kindness reminds us that lasting change begins when ordinary people choose to care.

Together, we're not just creating safer communities—we're building stronger, more compassionate ones. 💙

Today marks another milestone in building safer communities across South Africa. 🇿🇦💙

Today, Memeza Community Safety officially launches the 7th province of the National Systemic Reduction and Prevention of Gender-Based Violence and Femicide (GBVF) Programme in Kagisanong, Free State.

Together with our valued partners , , South African Police Service (SAPS), Community Policing Forum (CPF), and CSPS, we are taking another step towards creating communities where every person can live free from violence and fear.

Today's launch is about more than an event. It is about creating employment opportunities for local youth as Community Responders, equipping vulnerable community members with Memeza Personal Safety Alarms, and installing Memeza Community Policing Alarm Systems to strengthen rapid community response when help is needed most.

Every alarm installed, every young person empowered, and every partnership formed brings us one step closer to safer, more resilient communities.

The journey continues—one community at a time.

Behind every safer community is a team that deserves care too.đź’™

Today in Sebokeng, our Community Safety Ambassadors are taking part in a Mental Health and Wellness Workshop. Every day, they are exposed to difficult and traumatic situations while serving their communities, and today is about investing in their wellbeing.

Together, we're equipping them with the tools to build resilience, prioritise their mental health, and continue serving with strength and compassion.

Healthy teams create safer communities.

📣📣Community safety is about more than preventing crime,

it's about standing with people when they need help most.🤝

This week, the Community Safety Ambassadors from Sebokeng, assisted residents at a local clinic, conducted community outreach and follow-up visits, and helped an elderly resident open a criminal case after essential work equipment was allegedly stolen.

Without support, many vulnerable community members struggle to access the justice system, leaving crimes unreported and communities feeling unheard.

Through the support of , Memeza participants are creating safer communities by restoring hope, improving access to justice, and strengthening trust between residents and community safety structures.

Changing lives. Strengthening communities. One intervention at a time.

đź’™Behind every safer community is a team that deserves care toođź’™

Our Community Safety Ambassadors are often exposed to difficult and traumatic situations while serving their communities.Today, we're investing in their wellbeing through a Mental Health and Wellness Workshop, equipping them with the tools to build resilience and care for their own mental health.

By supporting those who serve, we're building stronger communities from the inside out.
