It's been a bit of a year so far - particularly for my husband, who was away for his birthday tending to sad family matters, but it gave me the chance to paint a special painting, as a gift for him. A precious memory of his dawdles with his little Princess, that we lost earlier this year. For me, it was a gentle and comforting piece to paint. Oils on canvas.
