Grace Design Solutions have another satisfied customer with after completing another damp proofing project on an exterior residende wall in an upmarket estate on the west rand.

The requested we did not paint the finishing colour paint.

We removed all contaminated plaster from the wall, injected a new chemical DPC, applied a dpblok slurry to the wall then plastered the treated wall area with new salt retardant and waterproof additive followed by the painting of a plaster primer.
We also applied a waterproofing coating solution to the foundation wall.

This wall space will not be affected by damp again.

Grace Design Solutions started an exterior damp treatment on a wall this week.

The plaster was covering (bridging) the DPC layer in the wall allowing the moisture to bypass the DPC plastic rendering the DPC plastic irrelevant to prevent damp forming above the DPC.

The briging plaster formed a crack where the plastic DPC layer touched the plaster.

The plaster was detailed incorrectly on this project and it cost the home owner for a basic error that was avoidable.

The client did not want to remove the cupboards due to the expensive of installing new cupboards so we are working between the shelves.
