🏊‍♂️TOMORROW, WE MAKE A SPLASH! 💦

At JAG Security, protecting our communities goes beyond guarding properties and responding to emergencies. It’s also about making a difference in people’s lives.

Tomorrow, Friday 9 October, we proudly launch our LEARN TO SWIM Community Initiative, giving 36 toddlers from Chesterville the opportunity to learn essential water safety skills and begin their journey towards learning to swim! 🏊‍♀️

We are delighted to have Cheryl Fortar of Seagulls Swimming School joining hands with JAG Security to make this initiative possible.

🚑 Safety comes first! We are also grateful to have ER24 in attendance at the swimming pool throughout the lessons, providing additional medical support and peace of mind as our little swimmers take to the water.

Generosity makes projects like this possible! All the swimming equipment needed for this initiative has been generously sponsored by wonderful donors who believe in giving back to their community. We are incredibly grateful for their support, and each and every sponsor will be acknowledged in our next post!

This isn’t just a once-off event. Our programme will continue throughout the summer, giving more little ones the opportunity to become water safe, confident and comfortable in the water.

And who knows? We might just discover the next Chad le Clos! 🇿🇦🥇

🇿🇦 FACEBOOK MEMORIES | ONE YEAR AGO – JAG SECURITY TAKING ACTION IN WESTVILLE!

A cleaner, safer Westville starts with all of us!

A year ago, the JAG Security team rolled up our sleeves and took action to help clean up parts of Westville C*D.

✅ Tackled graffiti and cleaned up the neglected area behind the Westville Swimming Pool.

✅ Cleaned out an outside toilet facility that had become a sleeping area for vagrants.

✅ Conducted a clean-up operation along Church Road, where dagga was discovered in the possession of some unauthorised street traders selling sweets. The dagga was handed over to SAPS.

✅ Secured the outside toilet area with a wire fence barrier, generously sponsored and erected by Green Dot Fencing, preventing further unauthorised access.

A special thank you to Green Dot Fencing for coming on board and supporting our initiative!

And the best part? A year later, the area is still looking neat and tidy!

At JAG Security, we believe that being part of a community means more than just providing security services. It means getting involved, taking ownership and doing our bit to protect and improve the neighbourhoods we serve.

We cannot fix everything overnight, but every small effort makes a difference.

🇿🇦🛡️ A FALSE ALARM IS NOT FREE

Running a private security company today is expensive.

Wages increase.
Statutory contributions increase.
Compliance costs increase.
Fuel increases.
Vehicles need maintenance.
Control rooms operate 24/7.
Technology, radios, batteries and backup power all cost money.

And then there are the unnecessary call-outs.

Faulty beams. Repeated false alarms. Unserviced systems. Accidental panics. Pets triggering detectors. Even calls for matters that are not security-related.

Every unnecessary dispatch uses fuel, officer time and vehicle kilometres — and can take that vehicle away from a genuine emergency.

If you have an ongoing fault, please let us fix it.

There is another reality we need to talk about:

Clients often choose the “cheaper guard”, even when the price being quoted simply cannot realistically cover compliant wages, statutory contributions, uniforms, training, supervision and the other costs required to operate legally.

A compliant security company cannot compete fairly with someone who achieves a lower price by cutting corners.

Cheap security is not always compliant security.

Before accepting the cheapest guarding quotation, ask what is actually included — and whether the company can genuinely provide the service legally and sustainably at that price.

And when it comes to community security, please remember:

Some people do not contribute, yet are often the first to demand answers when something goes wrong.

Community security cannot run on criticism alone.

🚨 JAG SUCCESS REPORT | LIVE CCTV MONITORING LEADS TO APPREHENSION 🚨

Suspect apprehended and property recovered in Pinetown

On Saturday, 19 September 2026 at approximately 17:25, an alert JAG Security Control Room Operator, while monitoring CCTV cameras at a client’s premises in Pinetown, spotted a suspect inside the property and immediately dispatched a JAG Armed Response Officer.

At approximately the same time, the premises’ alarm was activated and the signal was received by Mobi Response’s Control Room.

Our Control Room maintained communication with the responding officer, providing a description of the suspect and his direction of travel after leaving the premises.

Within minutes, the JAG Armed Response Officer located and apprehended a person matching the description. Property believed to have been removed from the premises was recovered.

The suspect was apprehended and handed over to SAPS Pinetown, W/O D. Pillay, together with the recovered property, for further investigation.

This incident demonstrates the effectiveness of proactive CCTV monitoring combined with rapid Armed Response. Our cameras don’t simply record incidents for investigation afterwards — our Control Room Operators are actively monitoring and responding to incidents as they unfold.

👏 Excellent work by our JAG Control Room Operator and Armed Response team for their vigilance, communication and swift response.
