A Solar Roof Rack That Expands When an EV Parks ☀️🔋

Imagine parking your electric car and having it unfold into a mini solar power station. 🚗☀️

A California startup has developed an innovative expandable solar roof-rack concept designed to help electric vehicles capture more energy from the sun. Instead of depending only on the limited surface area of a car’s roof, the system uses foldable solar panels that can expand outward when the vehicle is parked.

🔋 While driving, the solar panels remain mounted on the vehicle and can potentially generate electricity from sunlight.

☀️ Once the EV is parked, the structure unfolds to create a much larger photovoltaic array. With more panels exposed directly to the sun, the system could capture significantly more solar energy than a conventional vehicle-mounted setup.

🌱 The electricity generated could provide additional power for the EV, potentially reducing how often it needs to rely entirely on conventional charging stations.
