🚰 Standard Wash Basin Installation Guide

A properly installed wash basin ensures reliable water flow, efficient drainage, and long-term durability. The basin should be securely mounted on a strong wall using suitable brackets or anchors. The recommended installation height to the top of the basin is 850 mm from the finished floor, while the water supply connections are generally positioned at 600 mm, and the drain outlet at 550 mm above floor level.

The hot and cold water supply lines are typically spaced 200 mm apart and connected to a quality mixer tap. A P-trap must always be installed beneath the basin to retain water and prevent foul sewer gases from entering the bathroom. The drain pipe should maintain a proper slope (approximately 1:40 to 1:60) to ensure smooth wastewater flow.
