A step in the architectural process that you might not know about!

Submitting plans to the local council is another step I do on your behalf. Every council has slightly different requirements, so sometimes extra documents are required before plans can be approved.

Hey remember that time one of my projects was on TV?!
I loved the way this multi-level home in Fishoek turned out, and more importantly my clients absolutely loved their new space.

Modern | Contemporary | Minimalist

These are design styles I find myself drawn to in both my work and in my own home.

The hallmarks of these architectural styles are open spaces, clean lines and simple forms. Something that I find many clients are drawn to is an outside-inside feel through the use of open floor plans, making any area feel spacious.

Unlike fleeting trends, these styles can be coupled with just about any aesthetic and feel visually pleasing, and most importantly, comfortable to live in.

A misconception about container homes is that some containers are stacked together, and there's your house. When in reality, there are so many ways containers can be used to make a beautiful and functional living space, like in this Fishoek project.

3D renderings are a game-changer!

It can be difficult to picture your home by looking at 2D plans and drawings, so I encourage all my clients to opt in for 3D renderings in the design process. This way they're able to understand the space a lot better and make informed decisions going forward. 🏠

Working in the building industry means I notice things that other people don't.
After 17 years, it's just how my brain works now! Although wanting to straighten every out-of-place item might not be related to architecture, I think it's just a "me" thing.
