The people you associate with can make or break your dreams. Surround yourself with those who lift you higher.

Jim Rohn didn't mince words on this one. Your associations aren't neutral — they're either building your dreams or undermining them.

I've seen this play out hundreds of times. Someone has a big dream — to start a business, write a book, change careers, get healthy. They're excited. They tell the people closest to them.

And then those people respond.

"That's risky."
"What if it doesn't work out?"
"Why can't you just be happy with what you have?"
"You're not really the type to do that."

Not out of malice. Out of their own fear, their own limited thinking, their own comfort with the way things are. But the effect is the same: the dream dies.

Jim said the opposite is also true. When you surround yourself with people who think bigger, who've already achieved what you're aiming for, who respond to your dreams with "How can I help?" instead of "Be careful" — everything changes.
