The George Municipality switches off geysers according to the Eskom tariff structure peak times. The switch-offs only apply to homes and businesses fitted with the relevant device.

June to August (High demand season)
Monday to Friday: 6am-8am and 6pm-8pm
Saturday: 10am-12pm and 5pm-7pm
Sunday: 5pm-7pm

September to May (Low demand season)
