Tip 1 for this week. Changing a sink trap doesn't have to be hard or expensive. Just unscrew the nut below the waste under the sink. Unscrew nut on pipe. Once this is done make sure to have a container below as the trap still has water in it. Remove all old fittings and washers. Push the new nut over the pipe. Then washer onto the pipe. Make sure the flat end of the washer is pointing away from the waste. Insert washer onto top nut area below the sink. Push trap over pipe. Tighten nut onto the sink waste. Hand tight only Then tighten the nut onto the waste by hand as well. Make sure that you fill the sink more than half way. Flush and make sure no leaks. If you see a small drop tighten up the nuts slightly. Happy fixing.
