Meet Martyn Farah | IT, Security & Operations Manager

At Draco Group, security is about far more than simply protecting our assets. It is about having real time visibility across our entire operation.

Over the past few years, Draco Group has digitised its operations, giving our management team access to information from our sites, plant and equipment in real time.

Martyn oversees the IT, security and technology infrastructure that brings much of this information together.

Our plant and equipment are fitted with smart monitoring systems that provide live operational information and alerts. Our site documentation, inspections, equipment records and asset information are also managed digitally, allowing information from site to be immediately available to the relevant people.

Our surveillance systems also serve a much broader purpose than security alone. They provide an additional layer of safety and quality control, allowing us to monitor site activities, identify potential safety concerns, review incidents, verify the quality of work being carried out and maintain greater accountability across our projects.

By combining IT, smart equipment, surveillance and digital site management, we have access to information that previously could have taken hours or even days to reach the office. Today, it is available in real time, allowing us to make quicker and better informed decisions.

Security, safety, quality, assets and operations, all connected and available in real time.

This is another part of Draco Group’s continued investment in technology to build a safer, smarter, more efficient and more accountable operation.

DEMOLITION, REDEFINED. 🏗️⚡

Introducing Draco Group’s Brokk 200 & Brokk 300, compact, remote controlled demolition robots engineered to take on demanding demolition work where traditional equipment simply cannot operate.

From concrete breaking and structural demolition to furnaces, smelters, kilns and refractory demolition, Brokk technology allows Draco Group to operate in confined, hazardous, high temperature and hard to reach environments with precision, power and increased operator safety.

Our Brokk technology is particularly suited to furnace and smelter demolition, including the removal of refractory linings, concrete, brickwork and other materials from high temperature industrial structures. The remote controlled operation allows our teams to carry out demanding demolition activities while keeping operators at a safer distance from hazardous working environments.

Whether it’s refractory removal inside furnaces and smelters, demolition within industrial plants, concrete breaking, structural demolition or precision demolition in confined spaces, the Brokk 200 and Brokk 300 bring serious demolition capability into areas where conventional excavators simply cannot operate.

With their compact footprint, powerful attachments and remote controlled operation, these machines are ideal for mining operations, smelters, furnaces, cement plants, kilns and heavy industrial facilities where access is restricted and conventional machinery is not practical.

At Draco Group, we are constantly investing in specialist demolition technology that allows us to work smarter, safer and more efficiently, while expanding the demolition solutions we can offer to the mining, smelting, cement and heavy industrial sectors.

Smaller footprint, serious power, smarter demolition.

From furnace and smelter demolition to complex industrial and refractory removal, Draco Group is equipped to take on the challenges that conventional demolition equipment cannot.

This is the future of demolition, and Draco Group is ready to lead the way.

As cities evolve, redevelopment projects require a balance between removal, preservation and future planning.

Through integrated demolition, post-tension structural modifications, earthworks and enabling works, Draco Group successfully converted the 70 Rivonia Road commercial asset into a redevelopment-ready platform prepared for future investment and construction.

The project reflects Draco Group’s ability to deliver technically complex solutions within high-value commercial environments, where precision, planning and controlled ex*****on matter most.

One of the defining challenges at 70 Rivonia Road was the need to carry out demolition activities directly above basement parking slabs that had to remain structurally protected for future use.

Rather than relying on conventional demolition methods, Draco Group adapted the ex*****on strategy, reduced-load machinery, controlled rubble management and carefully sequenced demolition works to minimise structural risk while maintaining project momentum.

Projects like these highlight the importance of engineering-led thinking in technically sensitive urban environments.
