🌸 Spring has sprung! 🌱☀️

The days are getting brighter, the sun is rising a little earlier each morning with a definitive feeling of new life and fresh hope in the air.

We celebrated the start of spring with a little fun of our own — dressing for the occasion and the challenge to bring a random object to work! From the wonderfully weird to the downright unexpected, our team certainly embraced the challenge. 😂

**ADMINISTRATOR / SUPPORT**
Portland Holdings (Pty) Ltd | Cape Town | Permanent

Portland Holdings is a group of companies serving the construction materials industry. Our Support Department keeps the whole operation running — and it runs on people who back each other up.

We're looking for candidates who are multi-skilled, tech-savvy and comfortable to assist and support operational staff in the most effective ways, happy to help wherever the day requires it.

The role may entail general administration across the group. Duties are broad and will be shaped by your strengths and the team's needs, and may include:
‐ Front-of-house support
- General management of company assets, stock and consumables
- Data capturing, reporting and correspondence
- Documentation creation, filing and record-keeping
- General administrative support to management and the wider team

Because our support team covers for one another, you can expect variety on a day-to-day basis.

**What we're looking for**

- Matric (Grade 12) minimum; a relevant diploma in Office Administration is an advantage
- 1–3 years' administrative experience
- Strong accuracy, record-keeping and organisational skills
- Someone who can juggle several priorities without dropping detail
- A team player who covers for and assists colleagues willingly and communicates well
- Valid driver's licence
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Bilingual (English and Afrikaans) preferred
- Experience in construction or manufacturing is an advantage

This year at Portland, Mandela Day was about more than giving back, it was about coming together with purpose.

Our teams generously donated clothing, toiletries, toys, and financial contributions, all made possible through the kindness and generosity of our employees. Together, we had the privilege of supporting two incredible organisations: Dead Animals Walking and the Herberg Kinderhuis in Robertson.

These outreach initiatives reminded us that even the smallest act of kindness can make a meaningful difference. More importantly, the experience brought our teams closer together. Working side by side and witnessing the impact of their collective efforts was both humbling and inspiring.

A heartfelt thank you to every Portland employee who contributed, volunteered, and gave so generously. Your compassion, commitment, and willingness to make a difference are what made this Mandela Day truly special.
