CCTV Controller / CCTV Monitoring Operator
📍 Durbanville, Cape Town
🕒 Full-Time Position

Vigilant CCTV is seeking a dedicated CCTV Controller to join our growing monitoring team in Durbanville.

This position is ideal for individuals who are observant, disciplined, computer literate, and able to remain calm under pressure while monitoring security events and responding according to company procedures.

Minimum Requirements

✅ Grade 12 (Matric)
✅ Minimum 2 years CCTV monitoring, control room or security industry experience
✅ Computer literate
✅ Excellent attention to detail
✅ Good communication skills
✅ Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
✅ Reliable transport to and from Durbanville
✅ Non-smoker preferred due to operational requirements
✅ PSIRA registration

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV systems and security alerts
• Verify and investigate alarm activations
• Escalate incidents according to company procedures
• Dispatch response teams when required
• Maintain accurate reports and incident records
• Deliver professional service to clients and security personnel

Training & Employment Conditions

• Successful candidates will undergo approximately 3 weeks of structured training
• During training, remuneration will be aligned to the candidate's applicable PSIRA grade rate
• Appointment is subject to a 3-month probation period
• Permanent employment will be confirmed upon successful completion of training and probation
