The Archive 🏢

The intention of this design was to create a public space that encourages user interaction through a lively yet calming atmosphere.

The location is based along the beach front and through internal courtyards, raw earthly materials and large open spaces, an interior/exterior relationship is created. The user is within an environment that feels as though they are outside.

However, the building also acts as a food court, entertainment area, media centre and library which serves to attract people with various needs. In turn creating a busy environment.

Manor Mansion 🏘

The project is set to be on farmland and the design of the space follows that of Traditional style living (huts on the outer edge and the heart of the settlement in the centre)
Here, the heart of the home (kitchen) is in the centre of the home with the bedrooms and living rooms around. This in turn, removes need for passages and creates an open space within.

This house is set in a valley and the aim of this design was to bring the natural, open feel of the outside into the inside.

The large windows and high ceilings enhance the idea of space. The warm, raw textures of the exterior create a striking contrast to the modern finishes within.
