Peak hour traffic in Durban yesterday.Roads closed. Fire dept busy working hard with burnt vehicles and buildings in the background. Our teams worked though the night protecting our clients premises. *Cable Theft Suspect Apprehended After Pursuit in Glenwood* 🦅

Incident Summary:
On the evening of 05 October 2026, a *Homeland Security SA Tactical Officer* was conducting routine patrols in the Glenwood area when he observed a male suspect cutting cables from a light pole on Cleaver Road.

Upon noticing the *Homeland Security*, the suspect fled in the direction of Che Guevara Road. The officer confirmed that the cable had been cut and immediately pursued the suspect while calling for additional backup.

Additional *Homeland Security Tactical Units* responded and coordinated the pursuit, eventually cornering and apprehending the suspect on Noble Road.

Upon apprehension, the suspect was found in possession of the switches and cables removed from the light pole, as well as a knife believed to have been used to cut the cables.

Umbilo SAPS attended the scene a few minutes later, and the suspect was handed over to SAPS for further investigation and processing.

*Robbery Suspect Apprehended* 🦅

Incident Summary:
During a routine patrol on Clark Road, a *Homeland Security Glenwood UIP TRT* member was approached by a resident who reported that he had been robbed of his personal belongings.

The resident provided a description of the suspect, which was immediately circulated to the rest of the *Homeland Security* operational teams.

Members were dispatched to search the surrounding area for the suspect.
Shortly afterwards, the suspect was located, and backup was immediately requested. Additional *Homeland Security units* responded to assist, and the suspect was successfully apprehended.

The suspect was handed over to Umbilo SAPS for further investigation and processing.
