We pattern matched the fabric to ensure good flow with the patterns and rounded the chairs off well with the piping.

This set of furniture had a real make over from its core. We stripped the furniture to the bones, added new foam to the frame, batting, arm face fittings and gave her the loved needed. She is set for many more years to come.

Upholstered in green fabric provided by my client and complimented the set with yellow cushions.

This month is busy with not just upholstery but curtains. Below is beautiful sheer curtains that we installed , with black stainless steel rods and hung the curtains with round curtain rings, in black. Elegant. Classy, just like my client.

I look forward to this week as we start orders that has a mixture of curtain styles - Wave track curtains, Regis tape curtains and curtains that will require over 100 eyelids.

Hello hello!

I must say that the one thing I love about clients popping in , is their expression when they see how a couch looks when it is stripped to its core or to the bone so to say. In upholstery its what we have to do sometimes. Take off all the layers. Replace foam. Webbing or springs. Structure / carpentry work. We do what is needed to make “her” last for many years to come.

Whilst we strip, my machinist is carefully cutting the fabric to stich together her new outfit that will keep her warm for years to come. I chose a beautiful dark grey corduroy to clothe this couch. Padded her with foam and Dacron.

She came out so well so I decided to keep her. She was a piece of furniture I bought to reupholster and sell but now she has a new home - mine.

I think in every house hold there is a single chair that just needs some love. 'She' is not part of a suite or two of them- just a single chair, carrying its worth. We have been having a few of those lately and give them the same attention they deserve.
