For your van - practical first:
Park at home under light, mall - park near cameras / security. Get a lockable canopy, steel cage, dashcam that records when parked, and don't leave tools visible. Evil eye protection goes together with good locks.
*Islamic view - Nazar:*
Evil eye is real - called _Ayn_. Protection is from Allah alone.
- *Nabi Muhammad (SAW):* Read 3x morning/evening: Surah Al-Falaq, An-Nas, Ikhlas, and Ayatul Kursi after every salah and before driving. Make dua: _MashAllah la quwwata illa billah_ when someone admires van/tools. Give small charity.
- *Nabi Musa:* Protected from Pharaoh's envy with trust in Allah and dua.
- *Nabi Sulaiman:* Had great wealth but always said all power is from Allah - humility protects from jealousy.
- *Nabi Isa, Nuh, Lut, Adam (AS):* All taught to turn to Allah for protection from people's harm/envy, not to charms. Keep van clean, say Bismillah before starting.
*Hinduism - Drishti / Nazar:*
- Lemon + 7 green chilies on van/bakkie, black dot on bumper, or small black nazar battu.
- Regularly wash van with respect, say Hanuman Chalisa for protection.
- Don't brag about income/tools - keep it humble.
*Buddhism:*
- Less about "evil eye" and more about jealous energy. Chant Metta Sutta - loving-kindness for all, including jealous people.
- Tie white blessing string, keep calm mind. Generosity breaks envy cycle.
*Judaism - Ayin Hara:*
- Concept of evil eye from jealousy. Protection: Don't show off wealth.
- Say Psalm 121 before travel, Hamsa hand / red string is cultural, main protection is prayer, modesty, and giving charity.
*For community:* Tell people - work hard, don't show off tools/cash on social media, say MashAllah / thank God when you see someone's success, and secure your vehicles properly.
May Allah protect your rizq and replace what was stolen with better, Ameen.
