Concrete may be one of the most familiar construction materials, but good concrete work is anything but simple.
Its strength and durability depend on several details working together:
The correct concrete mix
Accurate reinforcement placement
Adequate concrete cover
Stable, well-aligned formwork
Proper placement and compaction
Careful curing after the pour
Even a well-designed structural element can be compromised by poor ex*****on on site. Reinforcement that shifts, insufficient compaction or inadequate curing can all affect its long-term performance.
What eventually looks like a simple slab, beam or column is the result of careful design, precise detailing and close coordination during construction.
Good concrete starts long before the truck arrives.
