Reality
👉 The real difference isn’t in cost — it’s in credibility. Cut out the middleman, not the expertise. Direct quotes from licensed electricians often match unregistered ones, but with guaranteed safety, compliance, and accountability.

We understand the desire to minimize costs, choosing an unqualified contractor often results in hidden expenses down the line: rework, insurance claim denials, and potential safety hazards. Our commitment is to deliver work that is safe, compliant, and reliable, protecting both your investment and your peace of mind.

We remain confident that Evp Electrical offers the best balance of professionalism, safety, and value.

Meet Riaan, a seasoned electrician and one of the driving forces as a Director at Evp Electrical. With years of experience illuminating spaces and solving complex electrical puzzles, Riaan brings both technical expertise and dedicated leadership to the team.

When he's off the clock, Riaan's passions take a slightly different turn. He's an unapologetic connoisseur of his own conversational skills—meaning he loves a good chat and isn't afraid to hold court. A true family man, he can often be found wrestling with the task of bathing his beloved Boerboel, Zuki, an endeavor that requires as much patience as it does soap.

And on those rare quiet weekends, you might spot Riaan meticulously scrubbing the paving outside his house, engaged in a never-ending battle against the oil stains left behind by his trusty, albeit leaky, blue Ford Ranger. It's a tough job, but someone's gotta do it!
For professional electrical quotations or expert guidance on removing stubborn oil stains left by Ford vehicles, please contact Riaan directly

Eugene van Pletsen
Director & Electrician at EVP Electrical

Eugene dedicates his weekdays to delivering expert electrical solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Unmarried and deeply devoted to his mother Suzi, his sister Tiesie, and his dog Minnie, he values their support above all else.

Come the weekend, Eugene swaps his hard hat for a helmet and pretends he’s a professional superbike rider on his Kawasaki ZX‑10R. He leans into corners like he’s chasing a world title, though the only medal he’s ever won is “Most Dramatic Garage Exit.” And when he’s not burning rubber, he’s busy stripping down off‑road motorcycles for no apparent reason — usually after pouring in way too much oil and deciding that a full teardown is the only logical fix.

Part electrician, part adrenaline ju**ie, part accidental mechanic, Eugene’s life is proof that comedy and chaos are best enjoyed at high voltage.

If you need a quote on any electrical work — or guidance on how not to mechanic off‑roads — He's your guy.

Even though your inverter and batteries are big enough, they don’t actually make electricity — they only store and manage what the panels produce

At Evp Electrical, we believe solar should be designed around your actual energy needs. That’s why we start by installing a data logger to track your household’s energy usage. With accurate data, we can design the right system, provide a clear installation report, and ensure you achieve real savings instead of guesswork. The right data, the right system, the right results.

CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE:

No professional can certify someone else’s unverified DIY work — it must first be inspected and proven compliant with the required standards. Since the work wasn’t carried out under my supervision and according to code, doing so would put my license, insurance, and your safety at risk

Why Use Qualified, Liability-Covered Electricians

Safety assurance
Qualified electricians are trained to handle complex electrical systems safely, reducing risks of fire, electrocution, or faulty installations.

Legal compliance
They follow national and local electrical codes, ensuring your installations meet inspection standards and avoid fines or penalties.

Insurance protection
Liability coverage means if an accident or damage occurs during the job, you’re not financially responsible — the electrician’s insurance covers it.

Quality workmanship
Certified professionals deliver durable, reliable work that reduces the need for costly repairs or repeat jobs.

Peace of mind
You can trust that the job is done right, protecting your family, employees, or tenants.
