Commercial & Industrial Refrigeration Technician Vacancy

Requirements:

• 4 Years’ post-trade experience with references
• Valid Driver’s License
• No criminal record (will be screened)
• Good communication skills - verbally and written
• Good mechanical skills
• Good problem-solving skills
• Able to do installations
• Adhere to safety guidelines
• Work with other technicians
• Precise, reliable, self-motivated, and hardworking (after-hours a
possibility)

MUST have extensive knowledge of the following:

• Controllers – Carel and Multiplexes specifically
• VSD Drivers
• Compressor management
• Electronic components
• Energy saving expansion valves & monitoring

Duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Commercial Refrigeration plant repairs – Multiplexes, Simplexes
and electronics
• Fault-finding on-site and remotely
• Fault-finding on electrical boards
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures
• Process and complete work orders
• Handle commissions, monitoring systems and signing off plants
with project managers
• Clearly communicate any additional work required on site
• Install, service and repair refrigeration systems and equipment

Applicants must have a Matric certificate along with a Red Seal as a Refrigeration Mechanica, N2 Electrical certificate with 5 year’s experience in the trade is essential to apply.
Extensive knowledge of VSD Drives, compressor management, electronic devices, expansion valves and monitoring for energy saving.
Well groomed with good communication skills. Must be able to work long hours.
Salary is negotiable on experience and skill.
