Africa Energy Indaba

Africa Energy Indaba SAVE THE DATE: Africa Energy Indaba 2027 will be held from the 2 - 4 March 2027 @ the Cape Town International Convention Centre.

The Africa Energy Indaba, adopted by the World Energy Council (WEC) as the African regional event of the WEC, receives global recognition as the foremost event for energy professionals from across the globe and is rapidly gaining momentum as the energy business forum in Africa. Presented by the South African National Energy Association (SANEA) in association with the World Energy Council, and pres

ented by the NEPAD Agency, the forum has achieved the highest level of endorsement and support and as such is without doubt the leading energy event in Africa. Africa is a continent of contrasts. It has the fastest urbanising continent in the world, and must provide energy to meet the annual urban growth rate, which is twice as high as Asia and Latin America, while, as home to the poorest of the poor, it must find innovate energy solutions for 50% of the worlds impoverished. The fourth annual African Energy Indaba will be the forum and business networking opportunity for decision-makers and leading role-players planning and developing Africa’s energy future.

Africa’s Gas Decade Starts Now 🌍🔥

Africa holds an estimated 620 trillion cubic feet of proven natural gas reserves around 7.5% of global reserves. Yet, much of this resource remains untapped.

The opportunity is clear: move from discovery to delivery and unlock gas as a catalyst for energy security, industrialisation, investment and regional growth.

On 4 March 2027 at the CTICC, Cape Town, the Africa Gas Forum, an official thematic event of the Africa Energy Indaba, will bring together governments, NOCs, gas companies, investors, infrastructure developers and major energy users to shape the continent’s gas future.

Theme: Africa’s Gas Decade: From Discovery to Delivery – Powering Energy Security, Industrialisation and Regional Growth.

The question is no longer whether Africa has the resources, it’s how we turn those resources into sustainable economic opportunity.
