There are moments in life that remind you why you took the leap.

Today is one of those moments.

Armour Projects has officially secured its first maintenance projects, with our largest project valued at over R260,000.

To some, it may just be another project.

To me, it's proof that believing in yourself—and having others believe in you—can change everything.

Leaving the comfort of a stable career to start my own business was one of the biggest decisions I've ever made. It came with excitement, uncertainty, risk and plenty of sleepless nights.

Starting a business isn't just about opening the doors. It's about having the courage to take that first step, knowing there are no guarantees.

To every client who has trusted Armour Projects with your property, thank you.

You didn't just award us a project—you placed your trust in us. I can promise you that trust will never be taken for granted.

To everyone who has believed in me, encouraged me, referred me, offered advice or simply asked how things were going, thank you. Your support has meant more than you'll ever know.

For most of my career, I've worked in the property maintenance and coatings industry.

One thing has always stood out to me...

Our industry still relies heavily on manual processes.

Specifications are read by hand.
Quantities are calculated manually.
Pricing can take days.
Small mistakes can become expensive.

I've always believed there had to be a better way.

That's why I've started building something I'm genuinely excited about.

An AI-powered estimating and specification platform designed specifically for the property maintenance industry.

The vision is simple.

Upload a specification.
Identify the substrates.
Recommend the correct coating systems.
Calculate material quantities.
Estimate labour.
Produce a professional quotation.

Not in days...
But in minutes.

This isn't about replacing people.

It's about giving experienced professionals better tools to make faster, more informed decisions while spending less time on administration and more time delivering value to clients.

As someone who has spent years on construction sites, carrying out condition assessments and working alongside property managers, consultants and contractors, this is a project I'm incredibly passionate about.

It's still early days, but I'm excited to share the journey as it develops.

I've spent years walking construction sites, inspecting buildings, meeting with property managers, working alongside contractors, and helping clients protect some of their biggest investments.

Along the way, I've learnt that behind every property is something far more important than bricks and mortar.

It's a family.

A business.

A dream.

Years of sacrifice.

Someone's future.

That perspective is what inspired Armour Projects.

Our goal is simple.

To treat every property with the same care and respect we would expect for our own.

To communicate honestly.

To strive for excellence in everything we do.

And to never forget that trust is earned, not expected.

Perfection is something we may never fully achieve, but it is something we will always strive towards.

I hope that one day my children will be proud of the legacy we're building, and that our clients remember us not only for the work we completed, but for the way we made them feel throughout the journey.

This is just the beginning, and I'm incredibly grateful to everyone who has encouraged and supported me along the way.
