Cleaning out the studio!
This (My home studio) has been the ‘keep all’ space for years - many times I’ve moved things in and out, but most often if becomes the ‘behind closed doors’ room that holds all but does nothing…
In desperation for a tranquil WFH space I’ve moved some furniture pieces, re-homed the no longer used and finally hung some art that’s been waiting in the pipeline.
There is definitely still a lot to be done and moved and hung, but it’s a good start!

Reclaiming some space in my home for a home office.

This space serves many purposes and holds many things, but has never been functional and as a result, it became the ‘where do I stash this thing?’ Room….

For my sisters…
This is a step by step showing how to make Home Made Mayo in 3min flat! In real time!

This is how I make mine:
1 egg
1 tsp mustard
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbs lemon juice
1 1/4 cut oil

Optional:
2tbs whey (to help preserve the mayo)
1clove garlic
1tbs fresh origanum

Using your immersive blender - Note: start at the base of the container!
Mix and slowly move the blender up while mixing.

Once you are happy with the consistency you are done!

(If you use whey, the keep the mayo outside of the fridge, with lid on, for 6-10hours before refrigerating)

Inspired by my current audio book ‘The buy nothing, get everything plan’ I opted for a creative solution to my problem.

My first two attempts at addressing this gaping eyesore - hours of carful nibbling by my dog - were both ‘be frugal, but spend the money’ ideas - none of them truly worked and neither brought me joy. So when Liesl and Rebecca mentioned looking inward and celebrating your creative and ‘your mending sel’, this project jumped at me - i had the embroidery yarn, I would spend less time mending it than I already spent trying to ‘replace it’ and I could just have fun with it.
The result is that it brings me great joy! Also - how cool that I can now use this sofa as a ‘canvas’? and my kids love it! They exclaim: ‘We’ve never seen a sofa like it.”
