Before&After🀩 !

Snagging your new kitchen or cabinetry is a very important process but one that should be done in the correct manner at the correct time.

Snagging should only be done when your kitchen company tells you they have reached the stage where they want you to snag. It should not be done while the kitchen is being installed – this can cause complications and slow the completion of your kitchen down.

You should aim to compile one cohesive and comprehensive snag list – not multiple ones. Be detailed and explain exactly what you are not happy with.

When you snag you should be comparing what you have in your home to the workmanship displayed in the company’s showroom.

Snagging does not mean you get to inspect the entire project with a torch and magnifying glass – there are internationally acceptable ways to view material like board products for defects and they require standing a distance away from the material and viewing it under normal light. If it helps you can refer to the KSA’s acceptable tolerances document which will outline what the industry finds acceptable when it comes to alignment and other issues you may be considering in your snag list.

By the time you are snagging your kitchen we are pretty sure you are keen to have your home to yourselves again – the advice above is the best way to achieve this and ensure you get the job finished correctly and the kitchen team out of your hair sooner rather than later. Going backwards and forward with multiple lists or snagging mid installation will only make the whole process a lot longer.
