One of the jobs we've been on recently in Grimsby this time. Another case of cavity wall insulation causing the problem. Upon building the house with a cavity wall, a layer of Damp Proof membrane is layed on the internal and external leaf bricks. Nothing in between. This insulation, including fallen mortar in the cavity is therefore sat in damp territory allowing it to breach the internal wall decor. On this occasion we installed a fresh Damp Proof Course all the way through the walls to protect the property in future. Another Happy Customer! 😊

This week we have been in the lovely village of Norton working on this fabulous Community Hall. Raised flooring outside, Access ramps and full cavity walls were bridging the original Damp Proof Course. With a new plastic membrane installed through the full walls, we have now handed this back over to the Trustees and Residents so they can carry on enjoying the building in a now, dry environment.
We're even being included in their monthly newsletter of which we will share with you once it has been published :)

Wow, I can't believe its been a year since our last post!! We do still use Facebook however our Google Account and 5* reviews are keeping us extremely busy from installing new Damp Proof Courses to exposing existing ones.

Please have a look at the attached photo of how an original damp proof course that has been 'bridged' can cause no end of damp problems.

We're seeing more and more people contact us because they have had a 'chemical injection dpc' a year, maybe 3, maybe 10 years ago and the areas repaired have started to fail. This is why we use a completely different approach to Rising Damp. We install a plastic membrane DPC into properties through the full walls, 'not up the walls', to guarantee that for the life of the property, it will never reappear nor damage the brickwork behind unlike certain other remedies. The photo uploaded is of a recent property we have repaired using this method where the customer had already paid out to have it injected 5 years ago.

There's nothing like another great review and a few prezzies from another lovely customer :) We're heading back over to the same street in Bircotes next month to damp proof one of their neighbours properties. We've recently finished works for a lovely lady who runs a Charity Clothing Bank in Brotherton, Knottingley. The Property had really bad symptoms and readings of rising damp and upon taking the existing render/plaster off we discovered the amount of salts on the brickwork behind. New plastic membrane installed in the affected walls, extensive removal of these salts and now the walls are fully ready to be re-plastered of which she is having done at a later date. Our customer was so happy with the work she has requested us to work on the adjoining property also and left us a lovely review on our page. 😊

Here is a property we were called out to inspect in New Edlington, Doncaster. As like most properties around the area, there was no original damp proof course installed.

The neighbouring property even asked us whilst we were there if we could cure a problematic wall within their property that they had already had 'chemically injected'.

Our Plastic Membrane damp proof course has now been installed through the entire walls and both customers have been given our lifetime guarantee. 😊

We've recently finished this house in Mexborough. Most of the walls in the property had been dry lined and because of no damp proof course installed, the brickwork behind was sodden and had soaked into the plasterboard. Now with a Plastic Membrane damp proof course installed through the entire walls, this house can now become a home again and is drying out nicely ready to decorate. The lady of the house even left us a lovely 5⭐️review on our Google Page. ☺️

Here is an example of why we ONLY use a plastic membrane damp course. This property in Rotherham has already had an attempt to fix the rising damp problems using these 'dry rods'. This has failed and now the customer is having to pay out again.

The only way to 100% cure rising damp is via our method of installing a plastic membrane through the entire wall including party walls.

This property has now been fully cured in the areas affected and these walls are now also covered by our Lifetime Guarantee.
