Stenciling and lettering are more than just jobs to me -- they're an excellent opportunity to involve more artistry and creativity in my work.

I have been clearing lots of slow and clogged drains lately: sinks, tubs and showers. Many times the issue requires me to snake the drain line, but often -- if it has one of these pop-up types of integrated stoppers -- the problem is right under our noses.

These styles of stoppers have parts inside your drain to engage and disengage, and that means more things to catch hair and other debris are crammed in that little pipe. Once buildup has occurred, it will catch more grime and sludge and can even start giving off a foul odor.

Spare the chemicals, and call me to get it done the right way, right away. I also can help with many toilet issues, and in some cases can unclog your roof plumbing vents from snow and ice buildup.

For your viewing pleasure today, I present to you a well-loved dining table I refinished for a wonderful couple. The tabletop had seen some good wear and tear in its time.

I forgot to take pictures before the initial strip and coarse sanding, but recorded this video before sanding the entire surface to near perfection. I was very pleased with the end result, more importantly so were the owners.

A few examples of recent small jobs I've completed for satisfied customers:

Shower surround install, bathroom painting, bathroom exhaust fan update, pop-up sink drain repair, new vanity countertop install, light fixture repairs and installs, exterior vent cover replacements, exterior Christmas decorations set up, and more.

Sometimes I am called for one single thing, while other times I am called in for a lengthy list of items to take care of. In any event I am happy to help whenever I can. A customer had a water leak creep into a closet.

I tore out the carpet, underlay and tack strips; remediated the areas where mold was present; installed glue-down vinyl plank and replaced the baseboards.

BONUS: I was able to do the job without having to remove any of the attached closet organizers!
