We specialize in sealing the nails or screws on your metal roof by:

The crew finished this job today outside of Strawberry Point. Some posts received our normal repair at the bottom rotted portion. Other corner posts were replaced entirely because the original construction used a single untreated 2x6 in the corners. We're finding this more and more, why use a single board in such a critical location?? With a new 6x6 treated post inside our Post Cover in the corners is a permanent solution.

If you have rotted posts or the skimpy single 2x6 corner posts, give us a call and we'll beef up your building.

This is a building that the crew finished today. They first power washed the roof, then they checked every nail for tightness and replaced many with new screws, then they placed our special patch over every single nail/screw, then brushed each patch with UV protectant and finally painted the roof.

This is a building that the crew finished yesterday. They first power washed the roof, it had a lot of residue from the pine trees, then they checked every nail for tightness and replaced hundreds with new screws, then they placed our special patch over every single nail/screw, then brushed each patch with UV protectant and finally painted the roof and doors. We can give your old pole building a makeover and make it last for many years to come!!

I'm finally getting around to adding pictures from the Forest City project from my last post where we raised this building and replaced the lower portion of the posts that were rotted off. It turned out great! We're done here, another group will come in to strip the building of tin and install new.

This is another example of a building with most of the posts rotted off. This is an ideal time to make your building taller, accommodating the farm machinery that has grown over the years. We’re in Forest City raising this 54 x 90 building and replacing the rotted portion and extending the posts. We have Spencer Movers from Blue Earth, MN doing the heavy lifting for us with their rig. More pictures to come as this job progresses.

We painted 2 roofs today, one in Nashua the other in Charles City. Both buildings first had our unique patch/sealer system applied to each nail or screw. This leaves a noticeable polka-dot pattern that some customers would rather not leave, like this building with a red roof. They opted to go with white for the paint and it turned out great! I forgot to take pictures of the first building in Nashua. We usually remember the pictures on my way home when it's too late.

We discovered that our newly modified post grabber can also pick big rocks out of holes. The old post was only 2 feet in the ground as the original builders hit this rock and called it deep enough. We pulled the rock and used the auger to get the new post below the frost line.

The crew finished another post replacement job today.......so we thought. The customer now wants us to come back and replace the baseboards, no problem. This building had 14 posts that needed serious help. I went onsite today to help wrap up, it was fun to see everything come together. Here's a few pictures, we also got to test out a new attachment that I modified for our specific use to grab, lift and adjust posts with ease.

We’ve been north of Clear Lake the past 2 weeks working on a 50 x 70 building with lots of rotted posts. Since so many posts were going to need attention, the customer wanted to raise his building 2 feet. We’ve had this same request many times before, but we’re not equipped to lift something weighing almost 20 tons. The customer found Spencer Heavy Movers from Blue Earth, MN to raise the building and then we went in and extended all of the posts.

This building had some uniqueness to it, some of the posts were 6x8, which is much larger than the usual 6x6 and there were “in between” posts between all of the main posts, this was some sort of an option when the building was originally erected, 43 posts in all. We had to modify our plate system to accommodate the 6x8 posts, which worked out perfectly.

Our job is done here. Next, cement will go into the holes, carpenters will come in to place new baseboards and extend the tin and then a cement floor.

The job went great and it feels wonderful to end the season this way. Now we have many buildings to look at and quote for next spring and if another call comes in wanting to raise their building, since the posts need replacing anyway, we’ll know who to work with, Heath with Spencer Heavy Movers.

Thank you, Jeff, for allowing us to work on your building!
