Open heart surgery on this oil fired Aga OC today, having a new thermostat fitted... should be able to run another marathon now though!

The Rayburn 680k is a fine machine and so much better than its earlier cousins...
Servicing three of these in one day was an unusual coincidence - it’s a good job that I carry a large range of spares and service parts!

Not my preferred way to change the thermostat on this Aga Deluxe but as the kitchen tiles cover the back edge and sides, this was the only option without ‘remodelling’!
Finished by adding as much new insulation that I could and left it with no sign that it had just had surgery.

Back at work fixing your oil fired Agas and boilers as long as we can be socially distant and no one in your household is showing symptoms.

Following the Prime Minister’s announcement this evening (which I fully support), please rest assured that I am still able and willing to respond to emergency call outs for non functioning oil boilers and range cookers.
I will ask for Information when you call to see if I can justify the callout as a necessity.
A total lack of central heating and hot water or no other cooking means, as the situation stands at the moment will likely be deemed as a necessity. This is of course subject to change and subject to infection.

I will take every precaution that I am able to and sterilise when I leave. It is quite likely that we may not even meet!

Stay safe and make the most of some family time if you can!
