A project we completed this week. Replaced about 320 sq feet of subfloor, 12 floor joist and 16 feet of a rim joist, all due to water damage. The house was built with the front patio inset into the foundation stem walls and not properly flashed off to prevent water intrusion. Homeowner’s decided they wanted to push the front door out to the exterior wall and remove the patio, gaining about 50 sq feet of living area. Door and sidelites installed with a proper use of flashing and seal to insure no future water damage! Customer wanted to install their own flooring and paint to save on cost, He is pretty handy as well!
