What happens when innovative products are ready for the market, but the pathway to certification is not?

At Sustainability Day 2026, Besart L. Hajrizi and Nastasija Stojanovikj introduced the vision for a Pre-Certification Hub, developed through the collaboration between Insta Innovation Center and Helvetas RECONOMY.

The Hub aims to help SMEs understand requirements, identify gaps, strengthen their readiness and navigate the path towards certification and international markets. Because sustainable innovation needs more than a good product.

It needs a pathway from innovation to trust, and from trust to market.

HOW TO MAKE SUSTAINABILITY AFFORDABLE?

The purchase price is only the beginning. What follows is energy consumption, financing, incentives and the long-term cost of living. At Sustainability Day 2026, Valmira Ajeti Pasha explored how these elements can change the way we think about sustainable housing.

Her presentation connected high-performance homes with financing pathways, including GEFF support of up to 20% for eligible individual residential projects, alongside financing routes available in Germany.

The principle is simple: Look beyond the price of the home. Look at the whole bill.

Because the transition to sustainable living will depend not only on what we can build, but also on what people can realistically access. Sustainability becomes meaningful when it becomes accessible.
