Ever wonder how giant ships "park" at the dock? ⚓️ It’s all called berthing!⁣

In this week’s , we’re breaking down the complex (and precise!) process of bringing a vessel alongside a wharf or pier and securing it safely. Think of it like parallel parking a 100,000-ton cargo ship. Talk about skills!⁣

Do you have a challenging berthing story or a great photo? Share it below! 👇⁣

In the South Pacific, a great partner is more than just a name on a contract—they’re the people you trust when the mission is remote and the stakes are high. 🚢🤝⁣

Today, we’re spotlighting our friends at Hall Contracting. Whether it’s dredging or building climate-resilient infrastructure, they tackle the tough jobs that others find too complex.⁣

We’ve recently put that partnership into action up in Kiribati. Our Tug Warringa has been working hard alongside the Hall team, handling barge operations and delivering essential cargo to the outer islands. It’s all about getting the right equipment and the right people to where they’re needed most.⁣

Looking for a logistics partner that understands the islands? Let’s talk.⁣

How do we secure the future of Vanuatu’s shipping industry? It starts with investing in our people. 🚢📈⁣

Right now, Vanuatu needs between 100 and 200 new students entering the maritime sector each year to tackle a growing shortage of seafarers. We are facing a critical gap in key positions—especially when it comes to the ship captains and marine engineers who keep our waters safe and our economy moving.⁣

The Vanuatu Maritime College plays a massive role in fixing this, but it requires a collective effort to inspire the next generation of seafarers.⁣

Check out this interview with VBTC News, where Ocean Logistics CEO Andrew Bohn discusses the challenges we're facing.⁣
