π Building 's First Road
Building a road on Ambae is not easy.
With the active Manaro Voui volcano, strong winds, heavy rainfall, volcanic ash and limited fresh water, construction comes with its own challenges. But despite these conditions, our team continues to move forward.πͺ
π± For the people of Ambae, however, the challenge has existed for much longer.
Many people here depend on agriculture, but limited road access has made it difficult to move produce from farms to markets and shipping points. In some areas, farmers have even had to carry their produce on their backs before reaching accessible transport.
π§ This is why the road matters.
Hon. Ngwele Jean Jacques, Member of Parliament for Ambae, shared his views on the importance of the project. He said that better road access will help farmers transport their produce, benefit local communities and contribute to the island's future development.
He also highlighted the positive response from local communities and the opportunities created by the project for local people to take part in construction. π€
βFor Ambae, this road is a good start for development.β
π We are grateful to the Government of Vanuatu, local communities and all those who have supported and worked with us throughout the project.
Their cooperation and trust mean a great deal to our team.
There is still a long way to go, and challenges remain. But day by day, metre by metre, Ambae's first road is taking shape.π£οΈ
For us, this is more than building a road. It is about connecting people, supporting communities and opening the way for Ambae's future. π
