Anthurium ‘Migma’

This hybrid was created by Chris from a Papillilaminum × Dressleri cross originally obtained from the late Miguel Pascal, then crossed with Anthurium luxurians. The name “Migma” was chosen intentionally as a tribute to Miguel.
Its most distinctive feature is the deep, dark foliage with a subtle purple iridescence. Under different lighting and viewing angles, the surface develops an almost metallic, oil-slick glow. The leaves show compact but relatively shallow bullation, creating a sculptural texture without looking overly rough.
With its broad form, dark coloration and shifting purple sheen, Migma has a mysterious appearance that recalls the iridescent scales of a sunbeam snake.

Anthurium Blood Moon 🌑

Blood Moon is already a very well-known name among Anthurium collectors, especially for those who have been in the hobby for a long time. Originally from Australia, it has been loved and collected by many people around the world, and I’m definitely one of them.

What makes Blood Moon so special is its extremely round form, beautiful velvet texture and the way the leaf changes through each stage of growth.

The new leaves emerge in an intense, fiery red. As they harden and mature, the color gradually transforms into a deep, mysterious velvety black. Under artificial light, the surface becomes even more impressive, with a subtle shimmering effect that makes the texture look almost unreal.

For me, Blood Moon is one of those Anthuriums that doesn’t need to be overly complicated to be memorable. The round shape, the dark velvet surface and the red-toned veins already give it a very strong identity.

It may already be a famous cultivar, but for many people who are new to Anthuriums, Blood Moon is still one of those plants that immediately goes onto the wishlist.

A true classic in the Anthurium world, and still one of my personal favorites.

Anthurium Boogie (Muchlis x Pap Xone)

One of my favorite features of this hybrid is the beautifully wavy leaf margin, combined with deep velvet green leaves, bright contrasting veins and subtle pink-red tones along the edges.

And the flower makes it even more special. This plant can produce an unusual three-branched inflorescence, giving Boogie a character that is instantly recognizable.

A beautiful combination of texture, movement and personality.
