Reicht Matterport für Ihr BIM-Projekt?

Ein vertrautes Szenario: Ein Gebäude wird mit einer Matterport-Kamera gescannt, um einen virtuellen Rundgang zu erstellen, meist für Marketing- oder Vermietungszwecke. Später steht eine Sanierung an, und der Kunde schickt uns den Matterport-Link mit der Bitte um ein Scan-to-BIM-Angebot. Fast immer ist ein zweiter Scan mit einem Laserscanner gar nicht notwendig.

Die Zahlen zeigen, warum. Matterport Pro3 liegt bei etwa ±20 mm auf 10 m, ein terrestrischer Laserscanner bei etwa ±1 bis 3 mm. Der Unterschied ist real, schließt Matterport-Daten für BIM aber nicht automatisch aus. Für die meisten Sanierungs- und Innenraumprojekte auf LOD 200 bis 300 liegt ±20 mm innerhalb der in der Praxis üblichen Toleranz. Matterport liefert sogar selbst ein LOD-200-BIM-Export direkt aus den Scandaten.

Ein Rescan lohnt sich weiterhin bei Bodenebenheitszertifizierung, MEP-Vorfertigung, hohen vertikalen Schächten, dichter Außenvegetation sowie Räumen mit großen Glas- oder Spiegelflächen. Bei uns prüfen die Geomatiker Ihre Punktwolke zuerst und sagen ehrlich, welcher Fall bei Ihrem Projekt vorliegt.

SLAM Scanner Genauigkeit: Reicht sie für Ihr Projekt?

Vom 15. bis 17. September findet die INTERGEO in München statt. Und jeden Herbst stellen uns Kunden vor der Kaufentscheidung dieselbe Frage. Günstige SLAM-Scanner geben 1 bis 3 cm Genauigkeit an. In den Punktwolken, die wir tatsächlich verarbeiten, messen wir häufiger 3 bis 5 cm. Das ist nicht zufällig, sondern systematisch: Ein Neigungsfehler von nur 0,07°, den ein Hersteller selbst angibt, erzeugt über eine Gebäudelänge von 20 m bereits 2,4 cm Höhenabweichung.

Das Tückische daran: Im fertigen BIM-Modell ist diese Verkippung unsichtbar. Jede Höhe, jede Wand übernimmt den Fehler, ohne dass man es sieht. Erst in der Ausführungsplanung wird er zum Ausschlusskriterium.

Revit is one of the few BIM platforms that lets you import a point cloud directly — no third-party plugin needed. But native import isn't automatic modeling: every wall, slab, and MEP element still has to be modeled by hand against the scan data.

VMT Solutions' new guide breaks down the real point cloud to Revit workflow: how the point cloud is imported and referenced, what LOD is realistically achievable (LOD 300–350 for most as-built and renovation projects), where projects run into trouble, and how Revit compares to Archicad and Allplan.

We also cover a step most Scan-to-BIM providers skip: verifying the point cloud's own accuracy before a single Revit element is modeled — because a registration error in the point cloud becomes a registration error in your BIM model.

Ba ngày. Hơn 150 con người. Một tinh thần chung.
Chúng tôi đã rời xa màn hình, rời xa những file point cloud và những deadline dày đặc — để làm điều quan trọng hơn: ở bên nhau.
Từ những trò chơi đồng đội trên bãi biển đến đêm gala dinner đầy ánh đèn và tiếng cười, từ những cuộc trò chuyện thâu đêm đến khoảnh khắc chụp ảnh chung của hơn 150 người — tất cả đã tạo nên một hành trình mà không ai trong chúng tôi muốn kết thúc.

Năm nay còn có sự góp mặt đặc biệt của các đồng nghiệp từ VDE Villa Digital Engineering — những người đã vượt đường xa từ Thụy Sĩ để cùng chúng tôi có mặt tại Hồ Tràm. Sự hiện diện của các bạn là điều chúng tôi trân trọng hơn bất kỳ lời nào có thể diễn tả.
