Diseño Arquitectónico en UCU Punta del Este!

Una nueva carrera que nace con la mirada puesta en el futuro de la arquitectura, y con el desafío de formar profesionales capaces de diseñar espacios más humanos, sostenibles y conectados con las necesidades de las personas y del ambiente.

Como directora de la carrera, es una enorme alegría poder compartir la visión que estamos construyendo desde Universidad Católica del Uruguay, Campus Punta del Este, Universidad Católica Punta del Este junto a un gran equipo docente.

Gracias nuevamente a UCU Universidad Católica a Augusto Ferreira, por la confianza depositada en mí para liderar este proyecto.

Y gracias a Canal 11 Canal Once Punta del Este por la invitación y por el espacio para conversar sobre esta nueva carrera, sobre la arquitectura que viene y sobre la formación de los arquitectos del futuro.

Muy feliz de ser parte de este comienzo!!

Una nueva etapa comienza en UCU Punta del Este! Ayer se presentaron las nuevas carreras que se incorporan a la propuesta académica del campus, entre ellas Diseño Arquitectónico, de la que tengo el honor de ser directora.

Asumir esta responsabilidad es un enorme privilegio y una oportunidad por la que estoy muy agradecida.

Gracias a Universidad Católica Universidad Católica del Uruguay y a Augusto Ferreira Augusto Ferreira por la confianza depositada en mí para liderar este proyecto!

Gracias también a todo el equipo de UCU Punta del Este. Me hace muy feliz formar parte de este gran equipo! Universidad Católica Punta del Este

Y gracias a todos los excelentes docentes que se están sumando a la carrera. Me siento muy orgullosa de contar con un equipo tan espectacular!

Este es solo el comienzo de algo realmente grande: la posibilidad de formar a los arquitectos del futuro!

A new chapter begins at UCU Punta del Este. Yesterday marked the official launch of the university’s new academic programs, including Architectural Design, which I’m honored to lead as director.

Stepping into this role is a true privilege, and I’m deeply grateful.

Thank you to Universidad Católica Universidad Católica del Uruguay and Augusto Ferreira Augusto Ferreira for trusting me to lead this project.

Five months ago, we had the great opportunity to be part of the World Congress on Design and Health 2025, an incredibly enriching, inspiring and truly meaningful experience.

It brought together visionary research and projects, meaningful discussions and a shared commitment to design and wellbeing.

We presented our research in Neuroarchitecture on the impact of architectural design on chronic stress levels. The study is grounded in Salutogenic Design, exploring how the spaces we create can truly influence health, both physiologically and emotionally.

We also had the great honor of receiving two International Academy Awards

A heartfelt thank you to Alan Dilani and the International Academy for Design and Health for creating such an extraordinary congress and for the opportunity to be part of the International Advisory Board.

It was an immense honor to meet and have the opportunity to engage in a meaningful conversation with Ken Yeang , whose pioneering work in ecological architecture has profoundly influenced the way we understand the relationship between design, nature and human wellbeing, and has been a true source of inspiration in my own approach.

An amazing experience with so many inspiring and talented colleagues and friends; so much learning and endless inspiration!

Looking forward to WCDH 2026 Malaysia!
