Here is a photo dump of a triple oak removal we were called to conquer. The center oak being at least 191 years old. These trees were massive from having such a good water supply thanks to Portage lakes.

However, the two along the sides of the property both had severe internal rot in key places, not only putting the two homes directly under them at risk, but also the neighbors on both sides of the property as well.

It was a long task dealing with such large trees hanging over the residences but we were ready for the challenge!

Here was a close call. A large maple with a very acute angled codominant growth pattern succumbed to the recent wind storm. Luckily the side leaning over the garage was the stronger of the two and remained standing.
We were called in and quickly dealt with the rest of the tree.

Windy and wet weather is the perfect recipe for pines to uproot. We had to deal with this mess to keep a bunch of ornamental plantings from being crushed. One large pine was almost uprooted and a smaller one was hung up against it.
The only solution was to climb the leaning pine and cut the top out of the one that was stuck to let it fall just short of the plantings. It wasn't ideal but we got the job done.
