Happy Wednesday!
While out cutting a special vase of flowers tonight I noticed the garden is starting to look a little tired… and honestly, I think she’s earned it. 😂

After months of growing, blooming, cutting, rain, heat, weeds, and everything else Ohio has thrown at her, the garden is definitely starting to slow down BUT we still have some beautiful blooms hanging on — the zinnias are showing off, the celosia is still going strong, and the dahlias are finally giving us some gorgeous flowers — but quite a few of our summer favorites are reaching the end of their season.

I’m not quite sure how many weeks we have left for the flower stand this year, but I do know that flower vases will become more limited as the weeks go on. So if you’re hoping to grab one of our fresh garden-grown bouquets, come early! 🌷

And just because the flower stand eventually closes for the season does not mean Huber’s Backyard Blooms is closing up shop. 😊 I’ll still be busy making desk geese, goose clothes, paint-your-own kits, and plenty of fun little items that will be perfect for Christmas gifting. 🎄🪿

So while the garden may be getting ready for a well-deserved rest, there will still be lots happening behind the scenes here. 💕

Thank you so much for supporting Huber’s Backyard Blooms through our first growing season. We’re going to enjoy every last bloom the garden gives us — and then roll right into all the cozy, crafty fun of the holiday season! 🌸🎄You might even see me pop up at a few craft shows here and there 😉.

It’s Friday! Time for “What’s blooming”.

💐🌺💐 Lots of flowers still going strong in the garden! Bouquets will be on the stand tomorrow. Mostly $10 but I’ll place a couple larger $15 ones as well.

📚Continuing the $2 books because frankly I think you all deserve a special deal. I’ll also have some FREE tea bags you can take a few of if you buy a book. What’s better than flowers, tea, a book and a comfy couch?

🏈NEW Football themed paint your own magnets! I mean football officially starts tomorrow so why not?

🦟 If this rain and humidity has you being eaten alive when you go outside, you NEED my all natural bug spray. You won’t stink like a chemical and bugs will leave you alone. Vanilla and citrus scents available.

🪿AND Desk Geese are available with NEW outfits added each week. Fall outfits will be out there as well as Christmas, Buckeyes, Steelers, and that team up north.

🧽 Last but not least- Loofahs! All natural, biodegradable, skin exfoliant, dish scrubber, floor scrubber, any dirty jobs and these do it. Throw it through a dishwasher cycle and it’s clean. Throw it in your compost when done.

I thought I’d make it fun today and surprise you with $2 books on the stand. Yes, $2!

I packed tons of flowers bouquets in there, paint your own magnet kits, bug spray, loofahs, boo boo bags.

Of course, Desk geese and a massive selection of clothes. Adding more all the time.

📚✏️ **It’s officially BACK-TO-SCHOOL WEEK!** ✏️📚

This flock has sharpened their pencils, packed their tiny notebooks, and is ready to head to **Zanesville** to entertain some kiddos! 🪿😂 Their classroom behavior, however, cannot be guaranteed.

🍎 Need a last-minute teacher gift? I still have a **few geese and outfits available**—because every teacher deserves a well-dressed emotional-support goose. 😂

Here’s to fresh pencils, full coffee cups, working Wi-Fi, and minimal trips to the principal’s office. 🤞

Well I didn’t know what the garden was going to have in store for me when I went to cut fresh flowers this morning.
💐 it’s full of abundance!

🌧️ **THE RAIN TRIED. THE FLOWERS HAVE OTHER PLANS.** 🌸😂

Despite ALLLLL of the rain, **Huber’s Backyard Blooms will be OPEN tomorrow, 8/22, at 8:30 a.m.** until sold out or 6 p.m.!

We’re feeling incredibly lucky at the Huber house that the worst thing we lost this week was flowers. ❤️

That being said…the garden has seen some things. 😂

🌻 The sunflowers? Mostly deceased. RIP, beautiful giants.
🌸 The cosmos? They fought bravely. Most did not win.
🌺 The dahlias? Currently living their best life somewhere beneath approximately 47,000 weeds.
💐 BUT — somehow, some way — **there are still plenty of flowers blooming!**

The sun is FINALLY out, and I’ll be cutting and arranging what made it through the monsoon. ☀️

I’ll post photos of tomorrow’s bouquets in the morning so you can see exactly what’s available!

If the garden gives me enough nice, longer stems, I’ll have:
💐 **Larger vases — $15**
🌸 **Smaller vases — $10**

All of the rain made time for new desk goose clothes and many many desk geese!

As always, everything is grown right here in our backyard — rain, weeds, flower casualties and all. 😂❤️
