During today’s inspection, the outdoor condenser coil was found to be dirty and restricted with debris. A dirty condenser cannot efficiently release heat, causing the system’s refrigerant pressure to rise. When the pressure becomes too high, the unit’s high-pressure safety switch (high-limit) will shut the system down to protect the compressor from damage.

If left unaddressed, this condition can lead to:

• Reduced cooling performance
• Higher energy consumption
• Frequent system shutdowns
• Increased wear on the compressor, potentially resulting in costly repairs

Recommendation: Have the condenser coil professionally cleaned as soon as possible. After cleaning, the system should be retested to verify proper operating pressures and confirm the high-pressure safety switch is no longer tripping.
