Mason Hanna has been with us since he finished high school in December. His dad, Kyle Hanna, is a project manager and has been with Barger for 6.5 years. Mason is headed off to The University of Memphis to study construction leadership.

He has spent the past 8 months learning alongside our team gaining experience in the field. We know the hands-on experience Mason has built will set him up to do great as he starts his freshman year. We’re thankful to get to teach and learn from younger generations, and we value the hard work Mason has put in.

The family roots that define Barger continue to grow stronger as we pass down our knowledge, work ethic, and our values. We’re excited for Mason as he starts college and we can’t wait to have him back working with us!

“THE BEST THING YOU CAN DO IS JUST BE KIND” No matter the situation always be kind! Trey put it perfect that you never know somebody’s situation. A lot of time a smile or a laugh goes a long way for somebody. We should build each other up just as Romans 15:2 instructs us.

This Monday we’re highlighting Blaylock Fountain on University of Tennessee at Martin campus. It doubles as a place for reflection and a place to learn. Its open-air design makes it the perfect place to meet, teach, and enjoy the view of campus.

As a company that spends most of their time outside, we loved building a space made for spending time in nature.

Quality control helps ensure our work meets our standard and more importantly our customers’ standards. Yesterday we had a meeting with our PMs and Supers about quality control to ensure we keep meeting and exceeding those standards.

Nate White, son of owner Mark White, just graduated from Lexington High School. He will be leaving soon to attend Arkansas State University for construction management.

Over the past year, Nate has spent time working alongside our Barger team where he’s gained hands-on experience across many areas of our operations. Many of us got the opportunity to work with and mentor him while he saw firsthand the hard work, collaboration, and dedication that continue to define Barger Construction.

We believe there’s no better way to learn about our business than by working beside the individuals who keep it moving every day. We’re grateful to everyone who has shared their time, experience, and knowledge with Nate along the way.

Our legacy is something we value deeply, and it’s encouraging to see the next generation embracing the work ethic and values that have been the foundation of Barger Construction. We’re excited for this next chapter for Nate but we sure will miss him!

SMILE!
Clint’s the guy we always know with a smile on his face and he encourages everyone to find something to smile about. Some days the reason is difficult and sometimes it’s easy. Smiles bring joy and we’re reminded real joy comes from our relationship with God.

Building Education📚

As students and teachers return to the classroom, we’re recognizing the spaces that support learning, teaching, and student success throughout the month of August. We’re kicking the month off with the Martin Public Library a space that encourages learning, curiosity, and sharing knowledge.

The last Thursday of every month is our Lunch and Learn. It’s an opportunity for us to get together and learn about a new topic that can help us grow and challenge ourselves.

It also means we get to dance around in the shop🕺
